Madison County Georgia Commission chooses FileVision™ information relationship management software
Madison joins neighboring Hart County, also using FileVision, in automating paper-intensive business processes, cutting costs, increasing productivity and providing better public service.

Madison County has implemented FileVision in the County Clerk’s office to automate the paper-intensive process of preparing the agenda, meeting minutes and documentation for the bi-monthly County Commission meetings. With FileVision, Madison County Clerk Morris Fortson and his team gather topics to be placed on the agenda (which come from county department heads and citizens), collect background information (consisting of numerous pages of documentation), include rezoning applications, prepare previous meeting minutes and finalize the agenda for bi-monthly Board of Commissioners meetings.

Disaster Recovery Series:

Preparing to Bounce Back from Disaster  – Some things to Consider for the SMB

Most of us are aware of the likelihood that a small or medium business organization will be hit with some major or minor stoppages in business during the course of operation. These stoppages may be caused by events as simple as a power outage, a weather-related event, or an infrastructure failure. Statistics shows that three out of five businesses that experience a disaster go out of business within five years. Planning ahead for a disaster, or at least thinking about what may be involved in recovering from one, can provide you with peace of mind about your ability to bounce back in the shortest possible timeframe.

In this installment of our Disaster Recovery series, we will highlight many questions to consider as you think about your need to make a plan for a potential disaster. Remember, these are simply things to think about as you prepare to customize a plan to suit the needs of your business. They may not all be questions which apply to your situation.

About FileVision

FileVision is a new type of productivity software – Information Relationship Management (IRM) – that enables customers to easily and strategically create relationships between important, disparate pieces of information. Unlike other solutions that fail to recognize or leverage informational relationships within an organization, FileVision bridges the gap between digital content and paper documents, helping companies intelligently link and match documents to important data objects such as people, companies, processes, and assets. This results in improved communications, enhanced customer service and immediate access to information and relationships within the data. FileVision is designed specifically for small to mid-sized companies or departments within an enterprise. FileVision is sold worldwide with the U.S. headquarters in Atlanta, GA. For more information, phone 770-551-1400 or email us.
